1. What is the writer trying to find out more about through their research (what research question guides his work)?
Through research the writer is trying to find out more about how authentic rock music is and the audience’s response to the music guides his work.

2. What sort of texts or sources does the author quote from to build his argument?
He uses books, critic reviews, and artists.

3. In what ways do you see others around you attempting to establish their “authenticity”?
I see others around me attempting their own authenticity by the way they present themselves, the clothes they wear and the body art, the way they speak and they way they act.
